I believe that each one of us has a potential to be great, rich, famous or whatever we want to be. We may have been born with unequal resources & talents, but that I do not believe they should be hindrances to our success.
Many people were born poor but died very rich. Many people were born in ordinary families, but lived a great life and left an extraordinary legacy to many people.
One of the famous people I admire the most is Stephen Hawking. Despite of this physical limitations he still calls himself "lucky". He is a quadriplegic. He has lost almost all neuromuscular control because of Lou Gehrig's disease, but that did not stop him from becoming successful in his studies of the universe and going to space.
The limitations in our lives are but matters of perspectives. If we see an object blocking our way, it does not mean to say that is the only way to go or that you cannot go around the object. Long ago I realized that in life there is only one way to go, forward. Sometimes because of bad decisions and mistakes, you need to do a little U-turn and have a fresh start so you can move forward again. Because forward means change and improvement.
There is a way to reach the levels of great, rich & famous people you admire. Someday, a book maybe written about your life too. Your life story may be featured on television in the future. And you can rewrite the story of your life right now so that you will be an extraordinary person in the eyes of the people who have known you.
